Karachi: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar called on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at the CM House on Tuesday and expressed solidarity with the people of Sindh over loss of life and property in the province due to recent monsoon rains.
Murad Ali Shah thanked Chaudhry Sarwar for his visit and provided relief supplies to people affected by rain in Sindh. The Governor of Punjab assured the Chief Minister of the Sindh Provincial Center that the province will cooperate fully in the development of the province.
CM Sindh informed Chaudhry Sarwar that the rainfall during the Karachi monsoon this year broke the highest record in 90 years. At this moment, we stand with the people affected by the disaster.
He told the Governor of Punjab that 90% of the conventional crops in the Mirpur Khas subdistrict were destroyed due to heavy rains, and many families were also homeless.
