Rome: With the repeal of the ban on the hard-hit quarantine area in New York by U.S. President Donald Trump, Covid-19 has killed more than 30,000 people worldwide.
As the virus leaves a devastating mark on almost every aspect of society, as many as a third of the world’s population is blocked: millions of jobs are disappearing, medical services are coming under pressure and Serious impact on government debt in the coming years.
Worldwide, the death toll has risen to over 30,000, and officials have said in some countries that the worst disaster is still ongoing.
But in Wuhan, the country’s first virus outbreak, officials took cautious measures to restore normal conditions. After more than two months of quarantine, the city was partially reopened with a population of 11 million.
Trump later on Saturday decided not to impose a total blockade on New York and his neighbors after local political leaders vigorously destroyed the blockade and warned of possible panic.
Trump tweeted about eight hours after intoxicating the epicenter of the U.S. coronavirus outbreak in the New York metropolis, “No quarantine is needed.” He proposed quarantine to prevent residents from leaving.
Instead, he asked the federal government to provide “strong travel advice” to people entering and leaving the area.
Trump’s reversal occurred on the same day that U.S. deaths exceeded 2,100, more than doubling in just three days. Of the 2,147 killed, more than a quarter, or 672, fell in New York City.
