Soon after the Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly’s 2020 election closed at 5 pm on Saturday, polling stations in the area began counting votes.
As of 11:30 in the evening, PTI is in a leading position in 9 of the 24 constituencies.
The provisional results show that this includes PTI candidate Raja Zakaria Khan winning 5290 votes in the Skardu-I constituency GBA-7.

After PTI is PPP, PPP is in a leading position among the five constituencies. This includes candidate Muhammad Ismail’s victory in the Ghanche-III constituency GBA-24 with 6,204 votes.
Independent candidates lead 4 electoral districts. Independent candidate Javed Ali Manwa won 2,443 votes in the Nagar-II constituency GBA-5, and independent candidate Mushtaq Hussain won 6,051 votes in the Ghanche-I constituency GBA-22.
PML-N, Pakistan Islam Trik, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and JUI-F all have the upper hand in one electoral district.
Every victory in a constituency represents a seat in the convention.
