LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has on Thursday announced to reduce charges of freight trains by ten percent.
The minister talked to media in Lahore and told that the rates will be decreased from tonight. A shuttle train service will be started from Lahore city to Wagah from December 14, he said.
Sheikh Rasheed has vowed to end the habit of buying ticketless train journeys at Pakistan Railways. He promised to make payments to the families of the victims of the Tezgam incident next week.
The federal minister also said the opposition leader of the National Assembly and the president of Pakistan, the Muslim union Nawaz (PML-N), Shehbaz Sharif, along with former prime minister and brother Nawaz Sharif Travel to London together as a “pass” .
