FIA launches inquiry of money laundering worth Rs25 bn against Shehbaz, Hamza

Lahore: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday has launched an inquiry of money laundering worth Rs25 billion against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz.

According to the details, the PML-N leader’s interrogation will take place in Kot Lakhpat Prison, for which IG Prison has been instructed to arrange.

Earlier today, Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz appeared in the accountability court for money laundering cases.

At the hearing, the defense lawyer recorded his arguments in the statements of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witnesses, and the prosecutor raised unrelated questions about the testimony.

While rejecting the prosecutor’s objection, the court instructed the defense lawyer to continue his defense.
