LAHORE: Spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said that Federal Investigation Agency is committing contempt of court by not allowing Shehbaz Sharif to travel abroad on Imran Khan’s order.
After Shebaz Sharif was refused to fly, Mari Yum Olanzeb condemned the move and spoke to the media, saying that restricting his travel abroad was a contempt of the court, and added that the system was updated. The statement is wrong.
She further said that the government’s mean maneuvers does not make any difference to Shehbaz Sharif,” she said. However, the PML-N will take recourse to the courts soon as the consultation process with the legal experts is underway.
Aurangzeb said her party has all the legal options to visit.
Ata Tarar also spoke to the media and lashed out at the government and said that everybody was a witness to how Zulfi Bukhari’s name was struck off from the blacklist, while the ECL did not have Shehbaz Sharif’s name.
In the early hours of the morning, the FIA banned PML-N President and KMT opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif from going to Doha, Qatar.
FIA staff stopped Shehbaz Sharif at the immigration counter at Allama Iqbal International Airport and informed him that his name was still blacklisted in their records.
Shehbaz Sharif was originally scheduled to leave Lahore for Doha, where he is expected to stay for two to three days. The PML-N leaders plan to depart from Doha to London.
