Farogh Naseem resigns as federal minister for law

Islamabad: Barrister Farogh Naseem has resigned as the Federal Law Minister on Monday to represent the Federation in the Qazi Faez Isa case.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has accepted his resignation. Farogh Naseem said, I have resigned as prime minister and he will continue to serve until the case continues.

“I respect judiciary and judges very much and have no personal grudge against any lawyer, bar council and justice including Qazi Faez Isa. I always made decisions in light of the Holy Quran, Hadith and constitution as law minister.”

The Supreme Court is scheduled to resume the case on June 2. The bench of 10 judges headed by Judge Umar Ata Bandial will be heard.

The federal government will respond to Justice Qazi Faez Isa ’s petition, in which he insisted that the president ’s reference to him was based on malicious intent.

It is mentioned here that Baroster Farogh Naseem resigned earlier and represented Qamar Javed Bajwa, General of the Army Chiefs of Staff (COAS), before the Supreme Court and was then sworn in as Federal Minister .
