Lahore: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood on Saturday said that education has already suffered a lot, exams will not be canceled and students should continue their studies.
In an interview with the media in Lahore, he said that there were many problems in education last year, schools have been closed for a long time, and many shortcomings need to be made up.
He said that the decision to reopen school depends on the province, adding that all children passed the exam last year, but the provincial minister decided that the exam must be taken.
The minister said that the Punjab government will investigate the cost issue but will not postpone the examination.
Shafqat Mehmood said students are hoping that examinations would be canceled, adding that schools should be reopened as much as possible without endangering health. “Already a lot of damage has been done, I will tell the students that the exams will be held according to the date sheet.”
