Erdogan arrives in Islamabad on Thursday


Islamabad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrives in Islamabad on Thursday (tomorrow) to start a two-day visit to Pakistan.

He is here at the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

President Erdogan will accompany a high-level delegation of cabinet members and senior government officials, including heads and CEOs of well-known Turkish companies.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Erdogan will hold a one-to-one meeting during the visit, after which they will chair the sixth session of the high-level strategic cooperation committee between Pakistan and Turkey in a joint cabinet.

A joint statement is signed at the end of the meeting. Many important agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected. The two leaders will make joint bets.

President Erdogan will meet President Dr. Alif Alvi separately. The Turkish president will also address the joint parliamentary assembly.

He will speak with Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, which brings together key investors and business people from both sides.

There is a unique and lasting relationship between Pakistan and Turkey, which is characterized by mutual support, special mutual trust and understanding. Turkey supports India’s cause of self-determination for the people of Kashmir. Pakistan supports Turkey in the Cyprus issue.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Erdogan, relations between Pakistan and Turkey have been further consolidated into a lasting partnership.

President Erdogan’s visit will deepen the flourishing Pakistan-Turkish strategic partnership.
