Police said on Thursday that eight suspects were arrested after the body of an underage girl was found in the town of Charsadda in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, the underage girl was kidnapped, then sexually abused, and then brutally murdered. There are signs of torture on her body.
The preliminary report provided by Dr. Maimuna at the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital confirmed that she had been raped.
District police officer Muhammad Shoaib said the girl was kidnapped on October 6 and her body was found the next day.
He said the doctor also found animal claw marks on his body.
The DPO said it had fenced the crime scene and sent the girl’s DNA sample to the forensic laboratory to wait for the result.
He said that the case against the suspect has been registered, including kidnapping and murder clauses. A special investigation team under the leadership of the Inspector of Police Darwesh Khan has been set up to investigate the matter.
The girl’s father said that the family is not hostile to anyone.
At the same time, there was a border dispute between Peshawar and Chasada police in the Jaba Korona area. After that, the local administration said that the taxation department would investigate the area and determine differences.
In addition, Chief Minister KP Mahmood Khan noted with concern the report of the incident and ordered the police inspector general to ensure that the culprit was arrested quickly.
“Those involved in the incident will never be able to escape the clutches of the law and will be awarded exemplary punishment,” he vowed.
The Director General of Law and Human Rights, Dr. Asad Ali, also took note of this crime. He set up a committee, appointed by Human Rights Director Naseem Khan as the head, to conduct an independent investigation.
