Karachi: According to reports, after people scrambled to get the coronavirus vaccine, the vaccination process at the Karachi Expo Center was stopped due to chaos.
After the provincial government announced the blockade of the SIM cards of unvaccinated citizens, a long line was seen outside the Karachi Expo Center on Saturday, the largest vaccination center in the city.
The glass door in Hall 4 of the vaccination center was broken, and a security guard was also injured by the scuffle outside the vaccination center.
People lined up outside the World Expo, Karachi’s largest vaccination center, waiting to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Hundreds of people, including students, laborers, and elderly people, came to Karachi Expo Center to vaccinate themselves with Covid-19.
The head of the National Command and Operations Center announced the day before yesterday that August 31 will be the last date for vaccinations for hotel and restaurant staff, train services, public transportation, government agencies, and shop and market staff. “After this deadline, people who have not been vaccinated will not be allowed to work,” he announced.
It is worth mentioning here that the Sindh provincial government implemented a lockdown yesterday until August 8, as the province continues to fight the surge in the risk of COVID-19 infection.
Earlier in the day, the Sindh provincial government announced that it would relax the blockade restrictions announced yesterday, lift the ban on riding, and allow fully vaccinated departments to operate.
Sindh Provincial Government spokesman Murtaza Wahab said at a press conference that this was due to the decision taken by the Sindh Provincial Government, including blocking mobile SIM cards, which led to a multi-faceted increase in the vaccination process.
