COVID-19 cases in Pakistan pass 1 lac mark, 65 more die


Lahore: Coronavirus cases in Pakistan have exceeded 1 shellac marker because 103,671 people have been affected by the pandemic. According to a report by Dunya News on Monday, more than 65 deaths were diagnosed in the country within a day, and the number of deaths nationwide has jumped to 2067.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), COVID-19 of 4,728 people was tested within 24 hours.

Provincial details

Punjab has become the worst-hit province in the pandemic, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan.

Till now 38,903 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 38,108 in Sindh, 13,487 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6,516 in Balochistan, 5,329 in Islamabad, 932 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 396 in Azad Kashmir.

Furthermore, 715 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 650 in Sindh, 575 in KP, 54 in Balochistan, 52 in Islamabad, 13 in GB and 8 in Azad Kashmir.

Quarantine centers in 462 hospitals are providing treatment for patients, where 7,295 beds can be provided.

Testing and recovery

To date, Pakistan has conducted 705,833 coronavirus tests and 22,650 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 34,355 patients with coronavirus, but many patients are in critical condition.
