Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan predicted on Tuesday that the deadly corona virus will destroy the economies of developed countries.
The prime minister said in an interview with foreign news agencies that rich countries should withdraw loans from poor countries to curb coronavirus prevention.
“In case we get swamped by this virus, our health facilities will not be able to cope with it and it’s not just Pakistan. I would imagine the same in the Sub-Continent and African countries,” he added.
“We just don’t have much capability and resources. Because of the effect of the economic slowdown, my worry is poverty and hunger,” PM Imran further expressed his fear.
He also insisted that sanctions against Iran be lifted because the sanctions are in a terrible state because of the corona virus, which has pushed Iran into poverty.
