The Pakistani authorities reported 35 new deaths from the coronavirus on Friday, and the total number has risen to 2,450.
According to detailed information, 920 patients have tested positive in Punjab, 783 in Sindh, 311 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 190 in Gilgit-Balstan and 169 in Luchi. There were 68 cases in Islamabad and 9 in Azad Kashmir.
So far, 126 patients have recovered in the country, 10 of whom are in critical condition.
Nationwide lock-up lasts until April 14
To stop the spread of the coronavirus, the National Coordination Committee (NCC) has decided to extend the national embargo until April 14.
Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar has announced that freight shipments of food will remain open and medicines will be available to the public in all four provinces of the country.
