Pakistan reports 43 deaths from COVID-19, lowest in 8 weeks

Coronavirus kills 67 Pakistanis, infects 2,482 in 24 hours

LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 67 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours due to the surge in positive cases to 913,784. The death toll across the country jumped to 20,607 on Friday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2,482 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

Whether in terms of cases or deaths, Punjab is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Till now 337,775 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 314,158 in Sindh, 131,411 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 24,908 in Balochistan, 80,927 in Islamabad, 19,060 in Azad Kashmir and 5,545 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore, 9,925 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,988 in Sindh, 4,025 in KP, 273 in Balochistan, 753 in Islamabad, 536 in Azad Kashmir and 107 in GB.

So far, Pakistan has conducted 13,057,951 coronavirus tests and 51,625 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 834,566 coronavirus patients, while 4,132 patients are in critical condition.
