Pakistan reports 1,050 coronavirus cases, 37 deaths in 24 hours

Coronavirus kills 63 Pakistanis, infects 1,519 in one day

Lahore: Pakistan has reported 63 new coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 585,435. On Thursday, the death toll across the country jumped to 13,076.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,519 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Provincial details

In terms of cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 258,904 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 174,191 in Punjab 73,007 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44,921 in Islamabad, 19,084 in Balochistan, 10,371 in Azad Kashmir and 4,957 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 5,480 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,388 in Sindh, 2,096 in KP, 503 in Islamabad, 307 in Azad Kashmir, 200 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.

Pakistan has so far conducted 9,097,413 coronavirus tests and 40,473 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 555,242 coronavirus patients, while 1,559 patients are in critical condition.
