LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 6 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 288,717. The total number of deaths across the country jumped to 6,168.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 670 people have tested positive for COVID-19 within 24 hours.
In terms of cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 125,904 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 95,391 in Punjab, 35,153 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,378 in Islamabad, 12,224 in Balochistan, 2,181 in Azad Kashmir and 2,486 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 2,317 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,182 in Punjab, 1,238 in KP, 138 in Balochistan, 173 in Islamabad, 60 in GB and 60 in Azad Kashmir.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 2,277,153 coronavirus tests and 24,022 in last 24 hours. 266,301 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 769 patients are in critical condition.
