Lahore: Pakistan has reported 54 new coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 527,146. The death toll across the country jumped to 11,157 on Thursday.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2,363 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of individual cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 238,470 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 151,603 in Punjab 64,373 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,430 in Islamabad, 18,670 in Balochistan, 8,706 in Azad Kashmir and 4,894 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,501 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,843 in Sindh, 1,811 in KP, 460 in Islamabad, 248 in Azad Kashmir, 192 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,525,432 coronavirus tests and 43,744 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 480,696 coronavirus patients, while 2,324 patients are in critical condition.
