Pakistan has reported 32 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, and positive cases have surged to 577,482. Last Friday, the death toll nationwide jumped to 12,804.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,541 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of cases, Sindh remains the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab province is reported to have the highest number of casualties.
Till now 257,408 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 170,222 in Punjab, 71,728 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,035 in Balochistan, 44,032 in Islamabad, 10,101 in Azad Kashmir and 4,956 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 5,323 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,322 in Sindh, 2,065 in KP, 200 in Balochistan, 496 in Islamabad, 296 in Azad Kashmir and 102 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 8,873,741 coronavirus tests and 41,849 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 542,393 coronavirus patients, while 1,558 patients are in critical condition.
