Lahore: Pakistan reported 58 new deaths from the coronavirus on Wednesday, and the total number has risen to 4,072.
According to detailed information, 2030 patients were positive in Punjab, 932 in Sindh, 500 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 211 in Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan. There are 202, 83 in Islamabad and 19 in Azad Kashmir.
To date, 467 patients have recovered in the country, 25 of which are in critical condition.
CM Sindh decides to strengthen the provincial blockade
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has expressed displeasure at the public for ignoring social distancing directives and has decided to make the provincial lockdown more stringent.
The decision was made during the provincial cabinet meeting of CM House.
When assessing the coronavirus situation in the province, the prime minister instructed law enforcement agencies to ensure that blockade restrictions were fully applied.
