RIYADH: The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said it carried out airstrikes in Yemen’s capital, Al Ekhbariya reported on Friday.
The airstrikes were in response to threats and were necessary to protect civilians, the coalition said.
Iran-backed Houthi militias often target Saudi Arabia, primarily using drones and missiles to attack civilian infrastructure.
Last week, 12 civilians were injured in a drone attack on Abha International Airport in the southern kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Three civilians were killed after militias used drones to attack the UAE on January 17.
Houthi militias seized the capital from the Yemeni government in 2014 and continue to control much of the country.
Backed by regional allies, the government has sought to stem the military expansion of militias, which are backed by Iran and other terrorist groups.
Diplomatic efforts to resolve the seven-year conflict have so far been unsuccessful.
