Lahore: Sardar Usman Buzdar, the Prime Minister of Punjab, expressed anger on Sunday about poor cleaning in several parts of the provincial capital and asked commissioners, vice commissioners and officials from waste management companies to provide reports.
He pays a lot of attention to poor cleanliness and directs better facilities for cleanliness in cities while using all means to collect road waste.
The Chief Minister also stated that no negligence or laziness would be tolerated in the cleaning arrangements.
CM Buzdar said that ensuring cleanliness is the responsibility of the authorities.
On the other hand, CM visited a building under construction in Panagah (sanctuary) in Taunsa and introduced him in detail to the project.
He said that according to the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the vision of the Panagah project was extended to other cities in the province, adding that the “Panagah project” was not only a blessing for homeless people, it should not be delayed in this respect.
Usman Buzdar said the state fulfills its role by providing shelter and food to people who spend the night on the road.
He said that in the past there were unfortunately no examples for the poorer segments of society.
The chief minister said that it was among the priorities of the present government to serve humanity besides working for its betterment. “He was personally monitoring the construction work of the Panagah,” he said and also directed the relevant authority to complete the construction work at the earliest.
