Gilgit: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Raja Shehbaz Khan on Sunday has visited central control room established to monitor general elections in Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the details, CEC checked the layout of the control room, and Gilgit Baltistan’s chief secretary also took this opportunity to inform him.
Raja Shehbaz expressed satisfaction with the performance of the local government in the polls.
It is to be mentioned here that the polling for GB elections started at 8am and will continue until 5 pm without any break.
As many as 330 candidates (including 4 women) are participating in the general elections in 23 constituencies of the GB Parliament.
After PTI Gilgit-Baltistan retired from the coronavirus and the death of Judge Jaffer Shah, the GBLA-3 election was postponed.
In the Gilgit-Baltistan election, at least 1,26,997 new voters are expected to vote.
