Preparations for Gilgit-Baltistan’s much-hyped election are in their final stages. According to the source, the delivery of election materials is underway, and staff have been deployed at the polling station.

Gilgit-Baltistan’s Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) said he is committed to holding fair and transparent elections. He said that stupid security arrangements have been made and a postal vote check will be conducted in front of the candidates.

The Gilgit-Baltistan elections between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are expected to face fierce competition.

PPP has selected candidates from all 23 seats, while 21 candidates from PTI and PML-N will run for their respective districts. Four female candidates will also participate in the election.
