Islamabad: In the upcoming (2020-21) budget, it is proposed to increase the salaries and pensions of government employees by 20%.
According to details, it has been proposed to allocate an additional 142 billion rupees for salaries and pensions, while consideration is being given to the allocation of 299 billion rupees and 503 billion rupees for salaries and pensions, respectively.
According to the source, it is recommended to raise the salary of the first-level employees to 22. The 2016-2019 temporary relief fund for employees of the Ministry of Finance will also be considered as part of the remuneration.
The source said it would raise the salaries of civilian and military officials at levels 21 and 22. In the previous budget, there was no increase in the salaries of officers at levels 21 and 22.
