RAWALPINDI: The fire that erupted in the private company ghee godown situated at Kalyam More area of Rawalpindi is still raging on after more than 15 hours as fire tenders failed in their attempts to douse it.
According to sources, more than 100 people rescuing 1122 are in operation to control the fire. Army helicopters also participated in rescue operations.
The source also informed that the two firefighters who rescued 1122 also suffered burns during the operation and were transferred to the hospital. Due to the intense fire, a large part of the warehouse has collapsed.
On the other hand, the local government called it a third-degree fire, and also asked other regions to send fire engines to control the fire.
