Black, Indian and Pakistani people more likely to die from COVID-19: UK stats

London: The British Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday that blacks and people of Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani origin have a much higher chance of dying of COVID-19 than whites.

The National Bureau of Statistics said: “In certain races, the risk of death from coronavirus (COVID-19) is significantly higher than that of whites.”

ONS said: “Black men are 4.2 times more likely to die from COVID-19-related deaths, while black women are 4.3 times more likely to die than whites and whites.”

“Compared to whites, Bangladesh and Pakistan, India and mixed races have a statistically significantly higher risk of death compared to COVID-19.”
