ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday hinted at change of Prime Minister before constitutional amendment in Army Act to extend the tenure of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Dunya News reported.
The chairman of the PPP made this point during a press conference outside the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) after a meeting with his father Asif Ali Zardari.
Bhutto Zardari has announced that the PPP has decided to relocate the court to guarantee Asif Ali Zardari, the party’s co-chair, on medical grounds. A bail request will be submitted on Tuesday (today).
He said the government’s medical committee pointed to Asif Zardari’s disease, but the former president did not let them submit petitions for medical reasons asking for bail.
He said the government’s medical committee noted that Asif Zardari had multiple illnesses, but the former president did not allow them to petition for medical reasons to request bail.
The PPP chairman said that Zardari had heard a request from his sister, Aseefa Bhutto, to ask the court to transfer bail and that they would now file a petition.
Bilawal continued that his party will not withdraw from his ideology, adding that a meeting will be held in Liacate Bagh on December 27 to commemorate former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Deceased
