Bilawal Bhutto urges the government to relieve the public or to go home

Islamabad: Bilawal Bhutto, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has urged the current government to offer help or go home because they will no longer tolerate the economic slaughter of the people.

He said during the meeting of the National Assembly (NA) that the parliament was powerless and said that Parliament discussed inflation, but that no financial adviser was present.

He further stated that Prime Minister Imran had said that the people of Pakistan did not pay taxes because the leaders were unfair. He claimed that the current government called itself a tax gap of Rs 700 crore. “Is the Prime Minister fair or incapable? Is the reason not to collect taxes the same now? He emphasized that Prime Minister Imran should answer which of his corruption caused inflation.

The successor to the Bhutto dynasty stated that the statistics office said that inflation had never been seen in the last year, not even in the last decade. Food increased by 78%. He blamed the government for transforming “a troubled economy into a submerged economy.”

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the current government has disrupted the Benazir Revenue Support Plan (BISP) initiated by his deceased mother and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. He called the plan the first social safety net of the people and said that the entire Benazir Bhutto policy served the people of Pakistan.

He added: “Only those who came into power without even getting elected are saying that there is no inflation and the economy is growing.

“PM Imran used to say that he would not borrow any loan and rather commit suicide whereas, his own State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) mentioned that he has debts of Rs11,000 billion.

“We do not want PM Imran to commit suicide, but we demand that he acknowledges he is incompetent and selected”.
