Apple to delay launch of podcast subscription service until June

By

According to an email seen by Reuters, Apple delayed the launch of its podcast subscription service until June after some podcast creators experienced program delays after uploading programs.

Apple said in April that it will launch a service that allows podcast creators to pay for their shows. During the first year of subscription, Apple retains 30% of the commission, and then reduces the commission to 15%, similar to its App Store.

The service was originally scheduled to start this month.
