Anwar Maqsood tests positive for coronavirus


Karachi: Pakistani playwright, TV presenter and humorist Anwar Maqsood has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The announcement was made by President of the Arts Council Ahmed Shah on his Facebook account. He wrote, “Living legend Anwar Maqsood is unwell please pray for his early recovery.”

Meanwhile, Anwar Maqsood’s son Bilal Maqsood has also confirmed the news, saying that his father is Covid positive. “Today he [Anwar Maqsood] looked much better; hopefully, just a few more days, and he’ll be out of it InshaAllah,” he said. 

In addition, the 85-year-old artist has been in quarantine for 14 days.
