ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Saturday that this was the first sit-in in the history in which no bullets or sticks were used.
PML-Q refers to the recently completed Azadi March sit-in demonstration, led by Fazlur Rehman, leader of Islamabad (JUI-F) in Islamabad.
He pointed out: “The priest and the police face each other, but there is no conflict.”
He said: “Imran Khan did not follow the advice of the inexperienced participants, which proved his wisdom and understanding of [political affairs].” He added: “inexperienced participants” The government has been asked to execute the order.
He said: “All honor for checking the sit-in is returned to the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior because the Prime Minister has settled the matter amicably.”
He said, “If the situation gets worse, the conflict doesn’t end.” He added that his party has been in constant contact with the demonstrators.
The head of PML-Q also congratulated the Islamabad government on patiently controlling the situation for thousands of people.
