Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) senior leader, Ahsan Iqbal, rejected the corruption allegations against former Punjab Chief Minister Shebaz Sharif.
The former Minister of the Interior slammed the government, demanding proof of 32 paisa corruption in the 32 trillion rupees allegation. He added: “For the past three years, character assassinations have continued.”
He said that incompetent rulers opened new cases every day to cover up their failures. He insisted: “Yesterday, the National Assembly filed a new false case against the opposition leader, in which the baseless allegation was that the wrong contract was awarded to my brother.”
Ahsan Iqbal further criticized that the standard of government accountability is now reduced to 4.5 million rupees due to corruption.
