After Lahore rally, PDM leadership meets to discuss future strategy

Lahore: The leaders of the Pakistani democracy movement held a meeting in Ravind today to discuss the future strategy of the anti-government movement.

As per details, anti-government alliance is meeting today in Jati Umra to deliberate on resignations from assemblies, long march towards Islamabad and other plans of action.

The meeting is being attended by PDM head Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Chairman of Pakistan People Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Vice-president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz and other leaders from political parties that are part of the opposition alliance.

Earlier during PDM Lahore rally, Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced a long march in late January or early February and said that opposition will take the resignations in hand during long march.

He said that this political struggle is for the free and democratic atmosphere in Pakistan. The future power will be in the hands of people, and the rigging system will not work properly.

On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz said that country’s development, sugar, wheat and flour have quarantined during the incumbent government’s tenure.

The vice president of PML-N further stated that Imran Khan is requesting NRO today, but now Nawaz Sharif will not give NRO to those who steal bread and rob the people of development.
