Afridi leaves LPL to be with sick daughter


Karachi: Shahid Afridi, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has left the Lanka Premier League (LPL) to be with his sick daughter.

According to the details, Shahid Afridi declared a personal emergency for leaving the alliance; however, the official website of the LPL has stated that the captain of Galle Gladiators was staying with his sick daughter.

Earlier on December 2, Shahid Afridi tweeted “Unfortunately I have a personal emergency to attend to back home.”

However, he went on to assure fans that he “will return to join back my team at LPL immediately after the situation is handled”.

He wished his team “all the best” in his absence.
