Abdul Razak Dawood records statement in sugar probe


Islamabad: Abdul Razak Dawood, an advisor to the Prime Minister of Commerce, attended and recorded the Sugar Scam Investigation Committee.

The commission of inquiry asked him about sugar exports and subsidies. The committee is led by Wajid Zia, Director General of the FIA

According to officials, the Sugar Industry Advisory Committee, chaired by Abdul Razak Dawood, recommended sugar exports, after which the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) allowed exports in October and December 2018 110 Ten thousand tons of sugar.

It appears that the Sugar Industry Advisory Committee has convened eight groups to participate in sugar mill interviews, including Alliance Group, Hunza Group, and Hamza Group.

It should be mentioned here that the Federal Cabinet on April 28 gave the Sugar Forensic Commission (SFC) three more weeks to compile its detailed forensic report on the sugar and wheat scandal.

This approval was made at a meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Islamabad Prime Minister Imran Khan.
