Karachi: In the case of poor education in Sindh, less than one percent of those who took the Junior High School Teacher Recruitment Examination (JEST) passed the exam.
Last week, a total of 160,000 candidates took the JEST exam organized by the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
The pass rate was recorded as 0.78%.
The results were shared by Sindh Minister for Education Syed Sardar Shah with the provincial cabinet in its meeting held on Thursday.
More than 500,000 applications were received for 46,500 vacancies for elementary school teachers (PST) and junior high school teachers (JEST).
