The Gaza Ministry of Health, which is operated by Hamas, said that at least 36 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, including 10 children and 700 were injured. Hamas has confirmed that one of its commanders was killed in a strike.
The situation worsened after Israel attacked the Al-Aqsa Mosque and injured nearly 700 Palestinians.
Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, warned Israel to withdraw all its forces from the mosque compound and the Sheikh Jarrah area in East Jerusalem, where the imminent deportation of Palestinian families provoked angry protests .
