Karachi: Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar rejected the actions taken by the Sindh Provincial Government to further split Karachi, saying that this constitutes an action in the Kaimari district, which is for the city A language conspiracy.
Wasim Akhtar said that other major cities in the country (including Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta) each occupy a district, adding that the Sindh government wants to further divide Karachi To seek political benefits.
He believes that an important decision about the city overlooked Karachi’s mission. He said that the Sindh provincial government’s conspiracy measures will be opposed at all levels and threatened to file a lawsuit against the split of the Sindh provincial government.
The mayor of Karachi said that the constitution also provides for the creation of more provinces, adding that if new districts are created in Karachi, then Sindh can establish more provinces.
