WASHINGTON: The United States said on Thursday that Iran’s new response to the resumption of the landmark nuclear deal was “not constructive”, a day after European mediators hoped to finally cross the finish line.
It is the latest in a back-and-forth between rivals through the EU, which broke the deadlock in August after a year and a half of slow diplomacy.
The European Union proposed on August 8 the final text to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, which was vetoed by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
