Karachi: In the interbank market on Tuesday, the US dollar rose by 81 paisa against the Pakistani rupee.
The US dollar closed at Rs 164.89 on the second working day of the week. The depreciation of the rupee increased Pakistan’s debt burden by Rs 430 billion.
After the Eid holiday, the dollar exchange rate rose by 3.97 rupees. Monday’s interbank market closed at 164.08 rupees.
