Dollar rate: Pakistani rupee marginally gains after drop

US Dollar closes at highest level in history against PKR


Karachi: The exchange rate of US Dollar strengthened by 94 paisa in the interbank on Thursday against Pakistani rupee.

The US dollar closed at 176.42 rupees on the fourth working day of the week, compared with the previous closing price of 175.48 rupees.

At the same time, the price of the euro rose by 89 paisa to close at 199.58 rupees, while the last working day transaction price reported by the National Bank of Pakistan was 198.69 rupees.

The yen closed at 1.56 rupees, while the pound exchange rate rose by 62 paisas, trading at 234.35 rupees, compared to the last closing price of 233.73 rupees.

The exchange rates of the UAE dirham and the Saudi riyal appreciated by about 26 paisa each, closing at 48.03 rupees and 47.02 rupees respectively.
