Kabul: The Afghan Taliban has called on the banned Pakistani Taliban (TTP) to focus on making peace with the Pakistani government.

According to foreign media reports, the banned organization is not part of their movement and calls on the organization to focus on reaching peace with the Pakistani government.

Video clips circulating on social media show that the head of TTP, Noor Wali Mehsud, claimed that the organization is a branch of the Islamic Emirate of the Taliban in Afghanistan (IEA), but Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesperson for the Taliban government in Afghanistan, denied this statement.

Mujahid told foreign media, “As an organization, they are not part of the International Energy Agency and our goals are different.”

“We recommend that TTP pay attention to the peace and stability of their country. This is very important, so they can prevent the enemy from having the opportunity to interfere in the region and Pakistan. We ask Pakistan to investigate their better requirements for the region and Pakistan.”
