Sindh issues code of conduct for collecting sacrificial hides


Karachi: The Ministry of the Interior of Sindh Province issued a code of conduct on Wednesday to collect the sacrifice leather of Eidul Azha.

According to the notice from the relevant parties, the parties and organizations collecting hides and skins should obtain the permission of the relevant commissioner or deputy commissioner.

The notice also stated that the licenses obtained in 2019 for those who already have a license to collect leather in Eid-ul-Azha should be effective for Eid-ul-Azha in 2020.

It also said that no one will be allowed to build camps to collect hides or skins. The use of megaphones, writing or singing slogans, and making statements from political parties or the offices of any political parties and organizations are prohibited.

Persons who are allowed to collect and transport collected hides and skins should carry permits and identification cards when carrying out such activities. In addition, the strict prohibition on carrying weapons is strictly enforced, and the collection of leather by force is not tolerated.

Law enforcement agencies can conduct on-site inspections in accordance with the orders of district administrative departments to ensure compliance. Anyone who violates any conditions will be prosecuted in accordance with relevant laws.
