Sindh govt decides to ease lockdown restrictions


Karachi: The Sindh provincial government decided on Wednesday to relax the blockade on the province and commercial and public activities will be gradually opened.

According to sources, the provincial government has decided to allow certain economic activities to resume, although the condition is that preventive measures must be taken to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.

The chief minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, will officially announce the lock-in restrictions.

The source said that the chief minister is in consultation with cabinet members, medical experts, administrative officials and senior officials.

Murad CM will also contact Prime Minister Imran Khan and other officials in this regard.

The source further stated that the decision will be made in the context of a national consensus and that business activities must be allowed in a phased and limited manner.
