Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah noticed an explosion on the first floor of seven four-story buildings in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal block of Karachi on Wednesday.
According to details, the CM has expressed grief over the loss of precious lives and prayed for early recovery of the wounded people. He has also sought detailed report on the incident by Karachi commissioner.
Earlier today, an explosion in a building in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi killed as many as five people and injured several others.
The nature of the explosion has not yet been determined, but the impact of the explosion was very serious and the window glass of nearby buildings was broken. Rescuers said that the balconies of the two apartments had been completely destroyed.
Police and rangers arrived at the scene of the incident and launched a rescue operation.
