KHANEWAL: When a Multan bus carrying 42 passengers tried to rescue a motorcycle driver near Khanewal, it fell over, seven passengers were killed, and 35 others were seriously injured.
According to details, the unfortunate incident took place on the New Lango Bridge on the Canouval National Highway. After receiving the report, the rescue team rushed to the location of the incident and rescued them after two hours of surgery, and transferred them to the district hospital and the Murcht hospital.
The status of 7 passengers, including 3 girls, is critical. However, a 6-month-old baby miraculously survived without being injured.
Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas called all staff of the trauma center on duty. He also expressed grief and sorrow for the loss of his precious life and instructed to provide the best medical facilities for the injured.
Due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country, the bus carried 42 passengers, violating the standard operating procedures (SOP) for city travel issued by the Punjab government.
