Section 144 imposed in Islamabad to curb coronavirus outbreak

Islamabad: The local government has implemented Article 144 in the federal capital to curb the spread of the pandemic coronavirus led by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Information and Broadcasting, noted in a tweet.

Meanwhile, magistrate Hamza Shafqaat said in the issued office warrant that the ban had been introduced to the city for seven days.

The order says that all restaurants and food stores, coffee shops and cafes must be closed at all times, but delivery and takeaways will remain normal.

The order states that all stores are closed at 8:00 PM, but the restriction does not apply to pharmacies, pharmacies, clinics, supermarkets, bakeries, pizzerias, dondumen, dairy, gas stations, chicken and small restaurants, and vegetable markets.
