Karachi: On Wednesday, the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Pakistan rupee fell by 38 paisa.
The US dollar closed at 159.13 rupees on the third working day of the week, compared with the previous closing price of 159.51 rupees.
Since the beginning of July, the U.S. dollar has risen by 1.26 rupees. However, the U.S. dollar has fallen by 9.3 rupees or 5.68% of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
At the same time, according to a report by the National Bank of Pakistan, the price of the euro fell by 1.34 rupees to close at 187.67 rupees, while the transaction price on the last working day was 189.01 rupees.
The yen closed at 1.44 rupees, while the pound’s exchange rate fell by 59 paises. Compared with the last closing price of 221.09 rupees, the pound traded at 220.50 rupees.
The exchange rates of the UAE Dirham and the Saudi Riyal fell by about 10 paisas respectively, closing at 43.32 rupees and 42.43 rupees respectively.
