Rupee continues to strengthen against US dollar

Rupee gains 10 paisa against dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee was up 10 paise against the US dollar at 175.67 rupees in interbank trade on Wednesday, compared with the previous day’s close of 175.77 rupees.

According to the Foreign Exchange Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates for the US dollar in the open market are Rs 176.5 and Rs 177.9 respectively.

Likewise, the price of the euro rose 41 paise to close at Rs 199.84, compared to the previous day’s close of Rs 199.43.

The yen was unchanged at 1.52 rupees, while the pound fell 17 paise to trade at 238.13 rupees, compared to its last close at 238.30 rupees.

The UAE dirham and Saudi riyal were down 03 paise at 47.82 rupees and 46.81 rupees, respectively.
